Cleveland Cavaliers PG Kyrie Irving Says “Won’t Leave Cleveland Like LeBron”

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Cleveland Cavaliers fans need not fear. Stud point guard Kyrie Irving has said he will not leave the team like LeBron James did back in the day. Irving was asked this by a young fan recently. I noticed it recently on twitter and that is a pretty good response from the young guard.

The Cavs are rocking a lot of Canadians in the rotation this year, but it will be interesting to see if this looks like a playoff team early on. It will take production from some young players to make it happe, and something tells me Tyler Zeller’s Krispy Kreme diet will come back to haunt him later this year. Who knows though? Maybe his new nickname can be the Big White Donut.

Irving will continue to develop into a better player, but the only question about him has to do with injuries. Can he stay injury free for a whole year? That remains to be seen, but it is something to hoped for to be sure.

It is a joy to hear the Cleveland fans will not have to suffer another heartbreak, but have my doubts whether they are ready to be an eilte team in a suddenly crowded Eastern conference. It will take probably 45 wins this year to make the playoffs, and cannot see the Cavs extending beyond 40.

LeBron James Nails Lakers' D'Angelo Russell In Groin With Pass

Not cool, LeBron.LeBron throws a fastball at the wrong spot. #ouch

Posted by Bleacher Report on Wednesday, February 10, 2016

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers made a fourth-quarter comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but ultimately lost 120-111. Unfortunately, along the way, rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell was struck in the groin by an errant pass at the hands of LeBron James, and ended up on the floor in quite a bit of agony as any man would. Thankfully, after leaving the game for a few minutes, Russell was able to return.

Watch Kyrie Irving Pull Off A Spin-Deke

Kyrie Irving is obviously very talented, and but this spin move to get open for a jump shot taught a Boston Celtics player not to be overly aggressive when closing out.
