The Cleveland Cavaliers sent a shockwave through league circles last summer when they drafted Anthony Bennett, but it appears to be working out so far. He has started to earn the respect of his teammates, but it will be interesting to see at what speed the coaching staff puts things on his plate. The Canadian imports form quite a bit of the Cavs lineup, and though Bennett has a complete game it is just unclear if he can do multiple things at an elite level. He kind of flew under the radar in college so his drafting was surprising to say the least.

I anticipate him only playing occasionally at first maybe like 8 to 10 minutes per game, but that could be geared up by the end of the year with solid play by the rookie.

The Cavs are still trying to find their way back to the playoffs since the departure of league MVP LeBron James, but Bennett will have a tough time filling those sneakers. It has been a rough couple years,

My native Ohioan friend Plank Malicious says “they are doing the best that they can with what they have”, which pretty much sums up the shitty state of affairs in the city the basketball gods hate.
