Denver Nuggets fans gave their new sparkplug Nate Robinson a warm reception in his first action at the Pepsi Center, and the speed of play htis season in the Mile high city is going to be electric especially when combined with the vertical ability of Javale McGee in the open court.

Robinson is spelling Ty Lawson when he takes a breather, who probably clocks in as a top five point guard in the league when it comes to speed. That really needs to become part of the All Star games right? Just a footrace end to end with the basketball or something like that? It would be awesome, and you can bet that I would tune in. Thanks to the Nuggets for the twitter update on Robinson below.

Denver debut for new #Nuggets G @nate_robinson. Huge ovation from @Pepsi_Center crowd. Timofey Mozgov also enters the game.

The only problem for the Nuggets is that the Western conference is super crowded. A lot will be dependent on Danilo Galinari’s health, because when he was playing well they were really rolling last season.

The point guard play next season will be excellent though, and fully expecting Robinson to become a crowd favorite both at home and on the road. Lawson was one of my favorite point guards in college and though he and Robinson lack much in the height department, they have quite a bit in the heart department.
