The Washington Wizards have stated publicly the goal of making the playoffs this year, and they will get a real test tonight against the defending champion Miami Heat.

The outcome will likely be determined by what kind of minutes the starters on each team play, but it will definitely be a game with a lot of highlight reel plays.

I distinctly remember a game last season near the end of hte year when John Wall had returned when the Wizards beat the heat on a buzzer beater by Nene if memory serves correctly.

Heat game day! Tonight we play the Wizards in Washington at 7:00 P.M. ET. It will be on Sun Sports and NBA TV.

Wish I was in DC tonight for this game, but we all can’t have what we want all of the time. Hopefully some of my DC folks will hit me up with some pictures on twitter so we can see a sense of the atmosphere at the Verizon center, so will keep an eye on it for you all.

That is just life folks, but fortunately for us spoiled members of the 21st century technology age I will probably find a way to illegally stream it online.

Lord knows it was a painful enough season last year for Wizards fans, and we all deserve a little bit of a break from the embarrassment that has been the last three years.
