Chicago Bulls Keep Proving They Are More Than Ready For Regular Season

Chicago Bulls: Dominating The Preseason And Ready To Do The Same In The Regular Season

Dennis Wierzbicki – USA TODAY Sports

Another game in the preseason, and the same results. The Chicago Bulls pulled off another impressive victory against their Central Division rivals, the Detroit Pistons, 96-81.  The Bulls keep on winning and showing that they can’t wait for the regular season to start.

Dominating the Pistons in an exhibition game was nice, but the biggest story of the night was Derrick Rose playing his first game in 18 months at the United Center. He was back in the lineup after sitting out the last preseason game because of “knee soreness.”

He did not disappoint the home crowd one bit. The fans were cheering and chanting MVP and was glad to have their star back. From the start, Rose put his stamp on this game. He was flying up and down the court with lightning speed and finished with 22 points in 22 minutes. Cross-overs, layups and jumpers were going in all night to remind everybody that he’s back.

Rose wasn’t the only one making contributions on this night. Carlos Boozer added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Taj Gibson continues his torrid play with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Joakim Noah suited up for the first time because of nagging injuries and aided the Bulls with eight rebounds and three blocks.

The bench was also solid with Marquis Teague and Tony Snell having their best games so far. Teague put in 11 points, while Snell looked comfortable pouring in 12 points, to go along with four assists and three steals.

The Bulls are firing on all cylinders at this point of the season.  Thetraining camps seems like they are paying off. Coach Tom Thibodeau is very pleased that he has a full arsenal of healthy weapons at his disposal. He loves that Rose is starting to really assert himself back into being the leader once again and getting his rhythm. I feel sorry for the rest of the league because the Bulls are ready to trample the competition.
