The New NBA Top 10 List: Past & Present
Whether you’re old or young, everyone seems to have an opinion on which players belong in the NBA’s top 10. Throughout the NBA’s 67-year history there have been many players who have made a case to be among the elite, and there have simply been those that just faded into the background. For an NBA player to make the cut for top 10 lists they have to stand out, when the game is all said and done your name should still be remembered in some way.
As an NBA player you must leave an impact on the game that goes beyond basketball itself. It should leave a lasting impression on a generation, a culture, a people. Your name should be heard outside of the basketball court. It doesn’t have to be the most popular or talked about person however. At the end of the day it shouldn’t be based on a popularity contest. Different aspects of the game should be considered when putting together lists. The kinds of attributes that help you win a basketball game. On-court presence, intensity, passion, grit, strength, heart, just to name a few.
This top 10 of the past and present reflects the NBA players who always let their heart and passion for the game do the talking. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, whenever this group of guys stepped out on the floor their moves were and are worth a thousand more. While some of these guys are soft-spoken, and some more animated, they all have one thing in common; they can all play ball! They all have championship DNA boiling in their veins.
Without further ado, here are the top 10 NBA players of the past and present.

3. Derrick Rose
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if he wasn't injured he probably would have been a two-time champion by now. Which is why he deserves a spot with the greatest of them.
2. Carmelo Anthony
Call him a "Ball Hogger" all you want but at the end of the day, isn't that what the game of basketball is all about? Getting those buckets? When paired with right team we will truly see how dangerous he can be.
