According to a poll taken by 30 of the NBA‘s general managers on NBA.com, the Miami Heat will repeat this season, as will LeBron James as MVP.

All 30 GMs were asked to respond to 56 different questions about the best teams, players and coaches. GMs were not permitted to vote for their own team or personnel.

The Heat were voted a 75.9 percent favorite to win the title this year, with the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder receiving the rest of the vote.

James received 69 percent of the vote to retain MVP honors once again, as Kevin Durant was second, followed by Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. King James also topped a variety of other survey questions, such as ‘If you were starting a franchise today and could sign any player in the NBA, who would it be?’ and ‘Which player forces opposing coaches to make the most adjustments?’

James was voted best small forward in the league while achieving third place in voting for best power forward. He was also voted second best defender and perimeter defender in the league behind Dwight Howard and Tony Allen, respectively. He finished off the day by being voted most athletic, most dangerous in the open floor and best finisher at the rim.

As if his statistics didn’t already speak for themselves, it’s pretty obvious who the best player in the NBA is. With only Howard topping more than three survey questions, James has made a statement as being one of the most well-respected and sought after players in the NBA.

There is no doubt who the clear-cut favorites are heading into this season, especially when you have the ‘supposed’ best player in the world on your team. But then again, these are just predictions. And when it comes down to it, they mean absolutely nothing. So let’s see if these GMs hold any merit in their preseason prophecies.

Dwyane Wade Makes Brooklyn Nets Look Foolish

You gotta give the Brooklyn Nets credit: Despite looking incredibly foolish at times in front of their home crowd, they competed against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night and only lost by four points. That said, you wouldn't know it from this epic clip of Dwyane Wade dribbling circles around multiple Nets and ultimately hitting a stellar fadeaway jumper.

Gerald Green Throws Down Monstrous Slam On Nets

Gerald Green hasn't been the most consistent player throughout the early stages of his young career, but there's no denying his overwhelming athleticism. Against the floundering Brooklyn Nets this evening, Green showcased some of those said abilities by emphatically throwing down a monstrous dunk, and he caught some major air in the process. If he's ever able to learn how to do it night-in and night out, Green is going to be an All-Star one day.
