By now, I’m sure that most fans have heard the rumors that Carmelo Anthony would like to enter free agency at the end of the 2013-14 NBA season. If so, this will be a perfect time for the Chicago Bulls to add that final championship piece that will completely transform their team. The only thing missing from the Bulls’ team is a solid pure shooter. Not that they don’t have great shooters right now, but adding a player like Anthony will help greatly improve the Bulls’ offense.

This pairing will also help Anthony tremendously, improving his defensive game, which is what the Bulls are known for. It will help Anthony become a more well-rounded player, not just focusing on the offensive side of his game. Head coach Tom Thibodeau would challenge Anthony to get a little out of his comfort zone and really see what heights he can go to. So far in Anthony’s career, we have not seen his full potential, even though he is currently one of the best in the NBA.

And let’s not talk about what kind of tandem Derrick Rose and Anthony would be. That would be a treat for basketball fans everywhere. Could you imagine the cocktail of Rose’s explosive and fast game paired with the knockdown shooting ability of Carmelo? Rose would have no trouble getting to those double-digit assists with a player like Anthony on his team.

For now, we can only sit back and wait till the end of this upcoming NBA season for Anthony to make his decision on where he wants to take his basketball career.
