Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose knows that he is capable of being the best player on the court; he said so himself. While everyone expected him to give a obvious answer of “LeBron James is the best player” he instead opted to go with himself. Mind you, most people found it odd since he missed the entire 2012-13 NBA season due to his ACL injury and didn’t get a chance to play. Injured or not you have to respect Rose’s answer. After all, only future NBA greats would say themselves.

Rose has the ample amount of  confidence and optimism to take the shine away from LeBron James and the Miami Heat in this new NBA season. Sure there has been other superstars like Kevin Durant and Tony Parker try to take some of that light of James, but none have succeeded. The pure talent and athleticism that Rose has is something rare and special. It’s something that only the titans and heavyweights of players in NBA history know about. After sitting on the sidelines for more than a year, his appetite grew hungry to finally get back to playing the game he loves.

The entire Bulls’ team is healthy and ready to regain their spot at the top of the Eastern Conference. Every player holds their position like a horse ready to take off in a race. With the new NBA season only one day away, the spotlight that was once on the James will now find a new home shining on Derrick Rose with his Bulls team right there with him.
