Chicago Bulls: Joakim Noah Was Never Going To Miss Opening Night

Dennis Wierzbicki – USA TODAY Sports

Opening night in the NBA is in a few days and the hype is building up. Did we actually think Chicago Bulls‘ Joakim Noah was going to miss the season opener against the Miami Heat? A team that he despises wholeheartedly? Nah — Noah just claimed himself 100 percent healthy and ready to roll.

Noah has been battling with a sore groin all preseason. He only suited up for one preseason game and had to go back on the sidelines with the injury. There was concern that it was more serious than the Bulls had let on, but Noah has worked himself to recover in time just before this big game. He claims he has been pain-free and is just trying to get his conditioning right. The Bulls will be very glad to have their All-Star center in the starting lineup.

The Bulls know how important of a player Noah is. He brings energy, hustle, rebounding, passing and he is the anchor of the defense. These intangibles Noah brings to the table puts the Bulls at another level. Noah gives the Bulls toughness in the middle. He showed his toughness in the playoffs last season when he played through that painful plantar fasciitis. That type of effort earned a lot of respect for Noah.

The Heat will get their rings on opening night and that makes Noah sick to his stomach. He respects the Heat because they are the champions, but he desperately wants to take that title away from them.  He was not going to miss this game for anything. Noah is back and ready for the season.

President Obama's Got Jokes About Warriors, 1995-96 Bulls

The Golden State Warriors recently visited the White House to be acknowledged for their 2014-15 NBA championship. As you may know, President Obama is a huge fan of basketball, and especially his beloved Chicago Bulls. While introducing the team, President Obama joked that he was in the presence of one member of the greatest team in basketball history with Steve Kerr on stage. The Warriors head coach was a member of the 1995-96 Bulls team that many think of as the greatest team of all time.

Pau Gasol Puts "Shake and Bake" On Kobe Bryant

The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls squared off on Thursday night, so naturally all eyes were on former teammates Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The two had a nice embrace prior to opening whistle, but it was strictly business once the game got started. Don't believe me? Just check out this "Shake and Bake" executed to perfection by Gasol.

Bulls' Noah Comes Nowhere Close To Making Jumper

Joakim Noah is a tremendous hustler and a gritty basketball player who does all the dirty work. That being said, this jump shot was terrible. This was the worst attempt that I've ever seen in my life and I don't expect that Noah will be shooting any more than layups for a good while.
