Indiana Pacers’ George Hill Says Last Two Days “Best Practices I’ve Seen”

Kim Klement- USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers have apparently been practicing quite well lately and it has not escaped the notice of George Hill.

Something not a lot of people are talking about is the official return of Larry Bird aka Larry Legend to the Pacers.

One of my favorite players in the sport’s history, Bird also happens to be extremely intelligent and an excellent executive. He fixed the Pacers bench quite quickly adding Luis Scola and Chris Copeland as fire power off the bench. They were not able to rely on their bench last season, and it will make a huge difference. Bird’s influence is all over this team, and it would be pretty amazing if they were able to win a chip right after adding the legend back into the mix. Definitely going to be an interesting year, adn the bench will definitely give that Pacers a much better shot come playoff time when it becomes a war of attrition.

Scola is one of those annoyingly good players whose game has no flash at all, but he also rarely makes mistakes and he will definitely help the Pacers out with their floor spacing as well as their passing. The Pacers were the third ranked team I believe in the Grantland preview, and if you have not checked those out those yet they are quite good.

Keep an eye out later today for a piece about Kevin Durant and how his time in Oklahoma may be numbered if they cannot ket over the championship hump.
