Head coach Doc Rivers certainly likes his team’s ability this year, and it is starting to show in the results especially with the number of points they are producing.

“I think we can score,” Rivers said. “The floor is spaced, and when you have athletes like Blake [Griffin] and [DeAndre Jordan] rolling after they set picks, that creates an action unto itself.”

Thanks to the tweet below on the latest win.

Chris Paul has looked like an MVP candidate early on this year, and we will have to see if he continues that. If Rivers can help his team keep the spacing we have seen so far, then it could be doable for Paul. That would be truly amazing if a point guard (especially a mostly assisting one) were to win the award. Derrick Rose won one of late, but he is a totally different kind of point. We have probably not seen an assisting guard win MVP since Steve Nash, whose workout coincidentally I am trying out right now to strengthen my back muscles.

Rivers certainly likes what he sees so far and so do I, but it is also a very long time between now and June. The spacing might not be so easy to come by then you know what I mean.
