Utah Jazz Fans: No Fear, Jabari Parker Might Be Here
The Utah Jazz are making it a point to be known as the worst team in the NBA, and they are not afraid to show it. The Jazz go 1-8 on the season as they defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 111-105. But it would be much better if the Jazz win something bigger in the near future: The lottery.
With Jabari Parker showing what he can do with the Duke Blue Devils in college, it is becoming evident by the day that he may be the best prospect entering the NBA next season. The fact of the matter is, it looks like the Jazz are in very good position get Parker in the draft, and I have to say I would definitely welcome that.
The Jazz knew it was time to tear the roster down as they let go of key players like Paul Millsap, and Al Jefferson. The Jazz knew they weren’t legitimate contenders for an NBA title with both players on the roster anyways, and it would have made zero sense to re-sign them both to new deals knowing the end result.
With Parker as a possible option, they add athleticism that they didn’t have during the Karl Malone, and John Stockton years.
The Jazz historically never really had a slasher at the small forward, or shooting guard position over the last 20 years where they could create their own shot off the dribble.
Parker can add to that and with rookie guard Trey Burke coming into the fold as well as Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors, the organization has an opportunity to build a dangerous team for the long haul.
It looks terrible for the fans of the Jazz right now record wise but with Parker in the picture, this situation with the Jazz is a blessing in disguise.
