Shooting Guard Jason Terry Says Brooklyn Nets in “Desperation” Mode
The Brooklyn Nets have looked like anything but a playoff team so far this year, which should be quite concerning especially with the championship window already so small to begin with. The additions of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were supposed to take this team to the next level, but at two wins and five losses on the year it has not been pretty to watch.
Jason Terry believes that they are not playing for their lives yet on the floor and might have thought the road to the playoffs would be quite easy.
“For us right now, this is desperation,” Terry said to the NY Daily News. “Everyone that steps on the floor should feel desperation and come out and play with a sense of urgency. If you don’t you’ll be looking at another loss. It’s what it is.”
Thanks to the tweet below for the alert to Terry’s feelings. It is a little odd that he is making suggestions considering he has been washed up for the last two years, but he has always been good for a sound bite too.

Terry is the classic irrational confidence guy who even had two different tattoos of the Larry O-Brien trophy put on his arm only one of which proved to be prophetic. Have not heard yet whether he has gotten one inked for the Nets yet or not, but will be sure to keep you posted if he does. Thanks for reading folks, and if you missed any of my coverage of Tuesday’s Champions Classic be sure to check out my twitter for it.
