The Celtics are giving up eleven points to the Rockets in this one, but it is hard to bet on Brad Stevens crew regardless of that.
Personally, believe James Harden and Dwight Howard will have too much pride to be out executed by the lucky Irish, and despite the large line would still go with the Texas squad in this one. The Rockets will be in the mix near the top of the West for most of the year, so do not expect them to struggle against the dregs of the East that often.
Stevens is a great coach, but the Celtics simply do not have the horses to run in this one for four quarters. The Rockets are an elite team, and for teams looking to land in the lottery it will be tough to go against Darryl Morey’s squad.
Was fortunate enough to see Morey in the press room at the Champions Classic so you know that Morey is continuing to do his job despite the recent influx of talent to his team. That is a true professional for you folks, and have heard tell that he is a hell of a ping pong player as well. That is quite impressive and well rounded for an NBA GM.
Thanks for reading folks, these preview/betting line articles are new and will try to continue and refine them as the year goes on.
