Vince Carter Calls Out Dwight Howard For Being a ‘Crybaby’

Dwight Howard doesn’t have the greatest reputation when it comes to his on-court actions. The All Pro center often complains to officials and is frequently seen pleading his case over non-calls. It’s those types of actions that have earned him the reputation of a crybaby. One guy who thinks that Howard is the biggest crybaby in all the NBA? Vince Carter. Here’s what the Dallas Mavericks‘ guard had to say about Howard following their matchup on Wednesday night:

“He always talks about how I’m a crybaby. I was like, ‘Yo, you’re the biggest crybaby I know.’And then later, he’s like, ‘Yo, why’d you say that to me?’ But I know Dwight. It’s all good, but he is (a crybaby). I mean, he takes a lot of punishment, but I’m like, ‘Yo, c’mon Dwight, c’mon. You elbowed, you’re sitting in the paint the entire time. What are you whining about?’ He told me to stop crying. I was like, ‘What? Are you serious?'”

So while Carter is calling out Howard for his actions, he’s doing it in a light-hearted way. You have to remember that these two were teammates for a season in Orlando a few years back. Still, there aren’t many NBA players you can for sure say are bigger crybabies than D12.

I’m hoping that he continues to mature while under the tutelage of Kevin McHale and Hakeem Olajuwon in Houston.

Dirk Nails Game-Winner, Gets Love From Kobe

Kobe Bryant wasn't able to lace up for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, but he still managed to make the highlight reels on multiple occasions. After Dirk Nowitzki nailed what turned out to be the game-winning jumper, he stumbled backward into Bryant and received a pat of approval. This encounter is the definition of the saying 'game recognizes game' as the two players are both legends and future Hall of Famers.

Harden, Wade Ice Game For Their Team in Final Min

Two of the best shooting (if not the two best) guards in the game both put their clutch gene on display last night. Within a few minutes of each other, Dwyane Wade and then James Harden both hit step-back jumpers in the final minute of the 4th quarter that iced the game for their team.

Josh Smith Fakes Dirk Nowitzki Out of His Shoes

Josh Smith has returned to the Houston Rockets via trade, and he made the most of his first game back. He scored 16 points off the bench, including this drive on Dirk Nowitzki that made Smith look like Hakeem Olajuwon. Could Ty Lawson and Josh Smith be the spark duo off the bench that rejuvenates this Rockets team?
