San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies Friday Game Preview, TV Schedule, and Betting Lines
The San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies tip off tonight and the boys from Texas are favored in this one (-1) and rightfully so. They have won eight in a row, and have started to settle down defensively.
“Those moments when we start to play better `D,’ push the ball and be more aggressive, then it’s fun to watch, it’s exciting and that’s what we need,” guard Manu Ginobili said after the latest win. “We are not exciting in a way that we’re going to have alley-oops and windmills (dunking) and stuff like that, but we pass the ball really well. We penetrate and pitch, and everybody gets involved and that’s fun.”
I would take the Spurs despite them being favored, and think they will cover the spread easily. That is no disrespect to the Giz, but all respect for the Spurs.
The Griz play a grit and grind style so this could be a close one, but the Spurs have been on point all year and they also happen to have the best head coach in the league. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are no slouches either, which makes me lean even more in that direction.
Here is the TV info on that one.
TV: FS-Southwest, ESPN, DTV: 206
