If you aren’t betting against the New York Knicks now, not sure if you ever will. You might just be a hopeful fan who does not want to bet against his own team, but with defensive backbone Tyson Chandler still out it will be hard for the Knicks against a Portland Trail Blazers squad favored (-8) and also looking supremely confident going into this season as one of the hottest teams in the West.

It is just hard to find any hope or positivity in these words from franchise superstar Carmelo Anthony.

“We ain’t playing good basketball right now,” Anthony said after the Knicks fifth straight loss. “And we’ve got to fix it.”

Just how exactly they are going to fix things remains to be seen. ‘Melo has never been a player whose defense was elite, and that is being exposed here. He is clearly a player meant to be the second banana on a truly great team instead of a top banana on a middling team that honestly does not look like it has enough backbone to make the playoffs at least this point. Maybe all will change with the return of Chandler, but they have to be careful they do not dig themselves too deep of a hole.

This one tips off at 10 PM EST and here is the TV info on it.

TV: MSG, CSN-Northwest, DTV: 634, 765,
