Well the weather in Chicago is certainly not helping the mood, but Derrick Rose’s injury hangs over all the rest.

The Chicago Bulls are not going to be favored in many more games this season, and despite great defensive energy every night you have to wonder if their general manager will consider blowing this thing up.

They tip off tonight at 7:30 PM EST against a Detroit Pistons team that has a young and talented roster that looks like it could land in the playoffs at season’s end.

Here is the TV info on that one, and keep an eye out for two more of these previews later this morning.

CHI-G-Derrick Rose-OUT | TV: CSN-Chicago, FS-Detroit+, DTV: 663,665,757,758

The Pistons are favored (-3.5), but not by a lot so would probably take them on the over. They have quite a few quality big men, and it will be tough for the Bulls to hang with them for four quarters especially with Rose not creating offense with the ball in his hands.

It is a real bummer for Chicago basketball fans, many of whom have told me they will not be watching the Bulls anymore. That is sad, because they put such forth intense defensive effort so hope there are still some die-hards out there who will hold it down for the rest of the year. The Golden State Warriors recently visited the White House to be acknowledged for their 2014-15 NBA championship. As you may know, President Obama is a huge fan of basketball, and especially his beloved Chicago Bulls. While introducing the team, President Obama joked that he was in the presence of one member of the greatest team in basketball history with Steve Kerr on stage. The Warriors head coach was a member of the 1995-96 Bulls team that many think of as the greatest team of all time.

It wasn't exactly an explosive dunk attempt, but Thaddeus Young still made a nice block of Ersan Ilyasova to save a basket for the Brooklyn Nets.

Caldwell-Pope Emphatically Rejects LeBron

It isn't often we get to see someone completely own LeBron James on the basketball court. However, Detroit Pistons SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope got the best of 'King James' on Friday night, as he appeared out of thin air to emphatically reject James' shot from downtown.

Pau Gasol Puts "Shake and Bake" On Kobe Bryant

The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls squared off on Thursday night, so naturally all eyes were on former teammates Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The two had a nice embrace prior to opening whistle, but it was strictly business once the game got started. Don't believe me? Just check out this "Shake and Bake" executed to perfection by Gasol.

Noel Emphatically Posterizes Drummond

With Jahlil Okafor out for the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons, Nerlens Noel had an opportunity to shine, and he took advantage. Noel makes Andre Drummond look feeble on this play, and that isn't an easy thing to do.
