Tim Duncan’s crew is the pick in this one, because they have looked extra sharp in the early season. You have to wonder if last season’s playoff exit gave them new motivation and life moving forward. The Rockets meanwhile are battling some injuries right now, so would probably hesitate to take them especially on the road.
The Spurs are favored (-6), but they have been blowing teams out by so much that would still expect them to cover that spread.
Duncan is playing fewer and fewer minutes so it will have to be Tony Parker who steps up if the Spurs want to reach the mountain top again, and we will see a real test for the greatest power forward of all time against Dwight Howard tonight. James Harden is probable for the game, but the mere fact that he might not play makes me want to stay away from the Rockets in this one even more. Know that Parker is questionable as well, but the Spurs subs always seem to know what they are doing out there and do not get frazzled. Here is the TV info for that one in case you were looking for that.
TV: CSN-Houston, KENS, DTV: 756
