The Atlanta Hawks tip off tonight against the San Antonio Spurs, and you can bet your balls that Tony Parker’s crew is favored in this one big time. They are coming off a close loss recently, but have won eight out of their last ten so would not be too concerned especially against an Eastern conference team. The game tips at 8:30 PM EST, and unfortunately will not be able to pick that one up on the DVR unless you live in the region.
Gregg Popovich belives their latest loss taught their team something about themselves.
“It’s a great lesson for us,” Popovich said. “When you play a good basketball team, you’ve got to come with passion, an edge and aggressiveness for 48 minutes – and we did that for a half. (The Spurs) got embarrassed for a whole half. In the second half, their aggressiveness and attention to detail was very good. They got themselves back in the game.”
It is important that the best head coach in the league is paying attention to how a team learns from its failures which is a good lesson to take away from this for any young ballers out there reading.
