Holy Monta Ellis that was a big shot! That was a cold blooded shot that avoided overtime for the Dallas Mavericks and bumped them a step closer to the playoffs. Tonight the Mavericks tip off against the Sacramento Kings, and we will have to see if Ellis can conjure some more magic tonight.

“I was born for it,” Ellis said of his recent buzzer-beater. “I love that time of the game. I’ve hit a couple of game-winners in my career. At that point of the guy, you always like to have that confidence to take the last shot, and I got it.”

The Mavs are favored (-5) in this one that tips off at 10 PM EST, and here is the TV info for it in case that is what you are all in it for.

TV: FS-Southwest, CSN-California, DTV: 676, 698, 759, 760

The Kings will try not to embarrass themselves at home in this one, but have to pick the Mavericks on the over in this one. Power forward Dirk Nowitzki is not to be underestimated, especially in a regular season game against a team who he could drop forty points on without too much difficulty. DeMarcus Cousins will do his best against Dirk, but ultimately this will be a match that “Boogie” Cousins is disappointed in the result of.
