Damian Lillard. Enough said right?

Okay fine, will give you a bit more. You want to know how much swag Lillard has? The last player to hit game winning shots in back-to-back games was Mike Bibby circa 1995; that is pretty baller and if this is what we can expect from Lillard in the future then you can count me in for the ride.

“They left just enough time for us to get one last shot,” Lillard said after the game. “And we found a way to get it done. I made a move to get [Cavaliers small forward Alonzo Gee] off-balance, and I made sure that I was ready when I froze him.”

That is the way an advanced player thinks, and it is interesting to me that Lillard is getting the opportunity to take these shots in isolation when they have LaMarcus Aldridge on the team. That shows how much Lillard’s teammates think of him, and makes me think the Portland Trail Blazers might make a bit of noise when the Western Conference playoffs start. When write that, mean they could make it as far as the Western Conference Finals. The actual Finals might be too much to ask of this crew, but they certainly have a lot of potential in the future.

Granted it is not even guaranteed they will make it, but that is highly likely at this point and will be looking forward to seeing what Lillard can accomplish on basketball’s biggest stage. Because last night? He was mugging.
