Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers Friday Game Preview, TV Schedule and Betting Line

Pau Gasol

Justin Ford – USA TODAY Sports

Before this preview starts have some disappointing news that will likely put the Los Angeles Lakers out of playoff contention. Kobe Bryant will be out for at least six weeks with a fractured knee, and this just is not good for anyone involved. This was especially discouraging given Bryant’s performance in the latest win.

“To me, I know I’m back when a slew of jumpers start going,” Bryant said after the latest win. “Especially against a defender like Tony Allen who is draped all over and is very physical. That’s when I know I’m starting to feel good.”

Anyway moving on from the depressing stuff, the Lakers tip off at 10:35 PM EST against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Staples Center, and here is the TV info for that one in case you were looking for it.

TV: FS-North, Time Warner, ESPN, DTV: 206, 691

The T-Wolves are favored (-5.5) in this one, and with Kevin Love looking like an MVP candidate in the early season you have to like the Wolves in this one especially with the Black Mamba out. Head coach Mike D’Antoni has not been getting along well with Pau Gasol lately either, and it seems like this season is teetering on the brink of disaster at the moment. The Wolves will be more than happy to drop them a spot in the standings as well, because it will only help Ricky Rubio and company have a better shot at making the playoff themelves.

One more preview coming your way today, and then be sure to check out Rant Sports Prep later tonight. Thanks for stopping by.
