Dwyane Wade Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week After Throwback Performances

Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade was named Eastern Conference player of the week, and it was a well deserved awarding.

“They were running a bit more than usual,” Chris Bosh said after the latest win. “They kind of caught us off guard but we had to really just get used to the pace of the game and basically kind of slow it down and get what we want.”

Wade averaged 26.3 points per while helping the Heat to a 3-0 week; his post play has been impressive lately and cuts to the rim give LeBron James some great passing angles. Wade’s play will be the key to the Heat’s run at a three-peat and if he can keep his knee healthy enough until June, then they could be hoisting Larry O’Brien once again. James would certainly be pleased about that, and it would definitely make his claim of “Not Six, Not Seven” seem eerily possible, which just kind of makes my head explode from a basketball perspective. In any case, Wade will always have one more ring than James while they remain on the same team, which adds an interesting element to their friendship/competitive relationship.

The Heat are definitely the most fun team in the league to keep track of temperature-wise, but at the same time they do not really play meaningful basketball until the playoffs. They have already clinched a playoff berth in the weak East right? Just kidding folks.

One more piece coming your way today, and thanks as always. Peace and love.

Dwyane Wade Makes Brooklyn Nets Look Foolish

You gotta give the Brooklyn Nets credit: Despite looking incredibly foolish at times in front of their home crowd, they competed against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night and only lost by four points. That said, you wouldn't know it from this epic clip of Dwyane Wade dribbling circles around multiple Nets and ultimately hitting a stellar fadeaway jumper.

Gerald Green Throws Down Monstrous Slam On Nets

Gerald Green hasn't been the most consistent player throughout the early stages of his young career, but there's no denying his overwhelming athleticism. Against the floundering Brooklyn Nets this evening, Green showcased some of those said abilities by emphatically throwing down a monstrous dunk, and he caught some major air in the process. If he's ever able to learn how to do it night-in and night out, Green is going to be an All-Star one day.

Harden, Wade Ice Game For Their Team in Final Min

Two of the best shooting (if not the two best) guards in the game both put their clutch gene on display last night. Within a few minutes of each other, Dwyane Wade and then James Harden both hit step-back jumpers in the final minute of the 4th quarter that iced the game for their team.
