TV: KENS, FS-Southwest, DTV: 676,753
Tim Duncan’s crew is favored (-3) despite being on the road, and that is a sign of respect to their head coach because their last loss was a toug one to swallow.
“That’s an embarrassing loss,” head coach Gregg Popovich said after the latest loss. “They whipped us. They whipped us good.”
Yikes, those do not sound like the words of a confident coach, and it will be interesting to see if there is any fall out from this in the coming week. He is the best coach in the league though, so do not be surprised if the Spurs are shaking again all the way to the Western Conference Finals.
In this one, the battle to keep an eye on is Duncan against Dirk Nowitzki. Those are two future Hall of Famers going up against each other, and with such different styles it should be fun to see how they play defense on each other. Picking the Spurs to win, but not cover the spread in this one. That is is just my gut talking, but trust yours if it tells you otherwise. Thanks so much for reading and one more preview coming your way today.
