Chris Bosh doesn’t always have 37-point games, but when he does the entire NBA spins off of its axis. For years, Bosh has been known as the third or fourth wheel to the machine that is the Miami Heat. However, with LeBron James out of action Bosh made sure to leave his mark on the Portland Trail Blazers with a game-winning three-point basket that had James and the Miami bench up in arms.

Perhaps one of the most underrated players in the NBA, Bosh knew that no one on the Trail Blazers was going to keep him from ending Saturday’s game. In fact, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said after the game that he had a play drawn up, just for Bosh to respectfully overrule by saying “No, I want it for the three.” Needless to say, Bosh might have a future as a head coach once his playing days are over.

All week long; the Heat-Blazers match-up was on top of everyone’s tongue. Many NBA pundits claimed that LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez would be the difference as Miami’s big men were largely overmatched. Yeah, so much for that. Bosh’s explosive game is just another friendly reminder that a Miami Heat three-peat is in the make.
