Los Angeles Lakers: Nick Young Offers Words of Wisdom for Fans During Struggles

Nick Young Lakers advice

The Los Angeles Lakers, the team that has arguably endured more injuries than any other franchise in the NBA this season, now has another to add to their list. Pau Gasol underwent an MRI on Monday to reveal a strained flexor tendon in his big toe, which makes the big man day-to-day.

While not having Gasol would almost completely decimate this team going forward, it’s just another notch in their injury-belt. Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Steve Blake, Jordan Farmar and Xavier Henry are all on the sidelines in suits awaiting Gasol if that is where the big man is heading.

With all of these injuries, the Lakers have predictably been struggling quite mightily. They Lakers have lost 10 of their last 11 games dating back to Dec. 21 and have been a wreck for the most part on both ends of the floor. Now sitting at 14-23 for the year, the Lakers are quite distantly separated from the playoff picture in the talented and competitive Western Conference.

If you’re a Lakers fan right now, you’re more than likely hanging your head. If that’s the case, look up long enough to read Nick Young’s advice to the fans to help get them through hard times as he and his team continue to struggle.

In a report on Gasol’s injury from Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, Young said, When you have relationships, everything ain’t perfect in relationships. Sometimes my girl’s getting on my nerves and I don’t just leave her for not cooking me a nice meal or something like that.”

The Lakers certainly aren’t cooking their fans filet mignon anytime soon, but the ever wise Swaggy P certainly does have a point. Lakers fans have seen a plethora of titles over the past decade and a half and a multitude of them over the franchise’s history. Sometimes there are going to be struggles, but you have to persevere. Above all else, though, trust in the Swaggy wisdom.

Posted by Bleacher Report on Wednesday, February 10, 2016

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers made a fourth-quarter comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but ultimately lost 120-111. Unfortunately, along the way, rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell was struck in the groin by an errant pass at the hands of LeBron James, and ended up on the floor in quite a bit of agony as any man would. Thankfully, after leaving the game for a few minutes, Russell was able to return.

Ryan Anderson Throws Down Savage Dunk On Kobe Bryant

Although Kobe would get the last laugh with the win, his second great performance and the Lakers notched back-to-back wins for just the second time this season, that doesn't stop this Ryan Anderson dunk from being any less disrespectful. The Mamba is in a retirement year, man, let him go out with his dignity still in tact.

Kobe Bryant Rejects Roy Hibbert's High-5 Attempt

Things didn't go swimmingly for the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls, as they played horribly and lost by 23 points. Kobe Bryant clearly wasn't pleased. When teammate Roy Hibbert attempted to give Bryant a casual high-five, it didn't go over well as an angered Bryant slapped it away in defiance.

Pau Gasol Puts "Shake and Bake" On Kobe Bryant

The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls squared off on Thursday night, so naturally all eyes were on former teammates Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The two had a nice embrace prior to opening whistle, but it was strictly business once the game got started. Don't believe me? Just check out this "Shake and Bake" executed to perfection by Gasol.
