The Brooklyn Nets go up against the New York Knicks on this beautiful Martin Luther King Jr. day, and it tips off at 2:35 PM EST. Here is the TV info for this one, and New York will now begin to gear up for the Super Snow Bowl.

TV: YES, MSG, ESPN, DTV: 206, 631, 634

Deron Williams is probable for this one and Brook Lopez is out for the year, so you know my pick for this one. The Nets are actually favored (-2), so would go with Carmelo Anthony’s crew to both win this one and to cover the spread. The Knicks are still trying to find some early season rhythm, but believe Tyson Chandler should be able to close the paint with no Lopez on the other squad. They could end up needing a forty point effort from ‘Melo to get it done, but still expecting it to go down that way; losing their last one by quite a bit should give them extra motivation.

“The thing that we have to do is just, we have to fix it,” Chandler said. “You’ve got to attack the problem head on. There’s going to be no pity parties. Just got to take care of it and fix it.”

At 15-25 so far this season, the time is starting to run out for them, but maybe today is the day their luck changes. My money is not on that happening, and mainly just picking the Knicks today because of the Nets incompetence and injury luck.

Thanks as always and stop by later for Rant Sports Prep content; in honor of MLK today will be showering you with wisdom from him.
