Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks Monday Game Preview, TV Schedule and Betting Line

Geoff Burke- USA Today Sports

The Miami Heat face the Atlanta Hawks at 5:35 PM EST today as part of the league’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day programming. Will be picking the Heat to cover the spread (-5) in this one, which should not come as a surprise with power forward Al Horford out. Oh yeah, and the Heat have the best player living so that helps them out a bit as well.

Here is the TV info:

TV: SportSouth, SunSports, DTV: 649, 653, 757, 758

LeBron James was truly impressive in the latest overtime victory and maybe all the Kevin Durant MVP talk is getting to him a bit.

“The game presented itself for me to be aggressive and I was able to shoot a lot. It felt, well… that’s why I’m icing my shoulder now,” James said after the win. “I came out shooting the ball extremely well and then I just hit a cold streak. My teammates kept confidence in me and I was able to get it going again.”

We will have to see if James can score 54 or more at some point this season, but it is probably not a number he will ever be consciously shooting for. He is too busy winning.

That is all for previews today, but stop by tomorrow if you feel so inclined and also will have some Rant Sports Prep out tonight with breakdowns of some of the best young ballers in America.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter” -Martin Luther King, Jr.

Al Horford Emphatically Posterizes Pacers' Solomon Hill

Al Horford clearly isn't letting all the trade rumors he's been involved of late get in the way of business out on the hardwood. On Friday night against the Indiana Pacers, Horford emphatically posterized Solomon Hill with a massive dunk, and NBA aficionados nationwide lost their collective mind on the Internet.
