Indiana Pacers SF Paul George Named to First All Star Game
Well, it looks like head coach Frank Vogel will have a bit of company at the All Star Game; his shooting guard Paul George was named the team and something tells me he will have a major impact on the game. He might even be shooting for MVP if things shake out the right way, and it certainly helps to have your own coach on the sideline.
“It means a lot because that means the fans are really watching us as a team,” George said. “For us to have the No. 1 record in the league, and playing at a high level, I think the fans are starting to follow us as a whole and I think that’s the biggest thing with me being a starter.”
Some well deserved congratulations are in order for George, whom I was lucky enough to interview last summer. Have been rooting for him, and think that he will give LeBron James a run for his money this summer. Larry Bird’s return cannot be underestimated, and think that his squad will be ready when the playoffs come around. If they can get the turnovers down, then definitely see them getting out of the East if not going completely all the way. Should be a fun thing to keep an eye on, and will be paying very close attention.
Thanks as always, and some fortune cookie wisdom for you.
