Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Philadelphia 76ers Saturday Game Preview, TV Schedule and Betting Line
Kevin Durant has been playing like the MVP of the league at the current moment, and currently is the scoring leader. He took the last game off though, so it will be interesting to see if he plays in this one. Obviously, point guard Russell Westbrook is out as well, and there is still no word on when he will suit up. From head coach Scotty Brooks words have to think that Durant, or the “Slim Reaper” which is the nickname heard recently that like a lot for the DMV native, might take this one off as well.
“We take pride in playing hard no matter who’s on the floor,” Brooks said to NBA.com. “Obviously, we’re a better team with Kevin and Russell. But it doesn’t make us not a team. He’s not one that looks forward to missing games. But it’s the best thing for him. Until he’s ready to play, he’s not going to play. Regardless of how he feels and what he wants to do. We’ll see how he wakes up.”
They have won seven straight, and even if Durant is sitting they should make it eight. If the forward is not playing, though would pick Michael Carter Williams’ crew to cover the spread (-6.5) but lose. Durant’s average of 39.8 points over the last six games will be hard to keep up, but if they keep on winning then look for him to keep on lighting it up.
