Ranking Every NBA Team's '90s Throwback Jersey

Over the years, NBA jerseys have gone through quite a transformation. From times where jerseys had just letters and numbers and two or three colors to the 1990s when jerseys became more graphic and team logos were portrayed more prominently on the jerseys than ever before.

Yes, the NBA is one of those sports that will always see a transformation of jerseys -- no matter what. Of all sports, the NBA has probably gone through the biggest change over the years and had more jersey changes – and notable ones at that.

We all remember those teams who had ridiculous throwbacks in the 1990s and made plenty of progress since then. Take a look at the Detroit Pistons, for example. Detroit had classic blue away jerseys that had red white and blue as the color scheme and white home jerseys with the same scheme up until the early 1990s. However, the franchise moved away from that look in the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. They had some of the ugliest throwback jerseys of all time – and you will surely see them somewhere on this list.

A list could easily be made for each team’s ugliest throwback jerseys ever just by the 1990s representation of the team, but we will just rank those jerseys from each team in the 1990s from worst to best.

If you love looking back at throwback/retro uniforms and jerseys, this list is definitely for you and it will be a bit nostalgic. Let’s take a look at the ranking of ‘90s throwback jerseys for each NBA team – and let me know what you disagree with.

The Bobcats weren't founded until 2004, so they have to be last on this list by default.

29. Washington Wizards

These jerseys were about as disastrous as the Wizards were in the 1990s -- and today, for that matter.

28. Denver Nuggets

Absolutely no personality in these jerseys. Boring as can be.

27. Milwaukee Bucks

Who thought it would be a good idea to put a giant buck on the front of the jersey? Oh wait, all NBA teams were putting huge logos on the front of jerseys in the '90s? Too bad this was the worst.

26. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs' jerseys have gotten much better over the years, but this had to have been a low point.

25. Detroit Pistons

The late 1990s Detroit Pistons' teal look was as nasty as nasty can get.

24. Los Angeles Clippers

The cursive lettering was pretty solid, but the Clippers jerseys were relatively average and the team was even worse.

23. Golden State Warriors

Just like the Clippers, the Warriors' jerseys were pretty bland, but still solid enough to stay around for a while.

22. Brooklyn Nets

Not much to say about the old New Jersey Nets jerseys. Good thing the modern-day Nets have a much cleaner/better look.

21. Sacramento Kings

Despite purple being an awful color for a sports team, the Kings struggled to put together an above average look -- and team.

20. Oklahoma City Thunder

The jerseys right before these bad boys were some of the best in NBA throwback history, but the Sonics took a step back with these. They are now the Oklahoma City Thunder and the jerseys are simple and clean.

19. New York Knicks

The Knicks got away from the classic look a bit in the late '90s and then got back to it more in recent memory. Classic is the way to go.

18. Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs' look was pretty boring, but cool at the same time.
