Is it me… or does Carmelo Anthony appear to be taking Kevin Durant’s scoring binge this month a little bit personally? ‘Melo probably sees in KD the mirror of himself in many ways; they are both pure scorers who have never quite gotten that elusive ring. That Carmelo Anthony’s 62 point effort came with no turnovers was impressive, but the level of competition must be noted as well. We’ll have to see if ‘Melo can keep it up tonight, and get his team a bit closer to realistically making the playoffs.

In the New York Knicks latest victory, ‘Melo did get some help from his teammates although his words after the game came off a bit passive-aggressive.
“I don’t think they just wanted to watch me out there playing offensively,” Anthony said after the crucial win. “They wanted to be a part of it and they did.”
Tonight the Knicks are favored (-6), and do not think they will be able cover in this one against head coach Brad Stevens and company. Know that may be selling the Knicks short, but have rarely been disappointed when picking against them this season with the latest match being an exception. Might have another preview coming at you today, and then will hit you with a bit of Rant Sports Prep knowledge later on. Thanks as always and hope if you are in Chicago you are staying warm in the polar vortex.
