San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets Tuesday Game Preview, TV Schedule and Betting Line

Soobum Im – USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs did not have to take a long trip, but they are technically on the road against the Houston Rockets and this one tips at 8 PM EST. Shooting guard James Harden is probable for this one, so would stay away from it until hear a firmer word; also, here is the TV info if you are a weary traveler and that is what you have been seeking.

TV: DTV: 757, 758

The Spurs are dealing with age this season (what else is new), but their floor general seems optimistic about the progress.

“Everybody has injuries. You have to deal with them during the season,” said Tony Parker after the latest loss. “Obviously, it’s hurting us but they’re going to come back. We just have to keep pushing and try to get better.”

The Rockets are favored (-1.5) and if Harden is playing would pick them to cover the spread. If he is not playing, then would expect Timmy “The Big Fundamental” Duncan to come away with the win in this one. In any case, we will have to see if there is any bad blood between these two teams if they happen to meet in the playoffs. That is all for today, but will leave you with a bit of fortune cookie wisdom to sooth the soul in honor of an excellent book just finished called “Driving Mr. Albert”. Cheers.

Harden, Wade Ice Game For Their Team in Final Min

Two of the best shooting (if not the two best) guards in the game both put their clutch gene on display last night. Within a few minutes of each other, Dwyane Wade and then James Harden both hit step-back jumpers in the final minute of the 4th quarter that iced the game for their team.

Stephen Curry Puts On A Clinic Against Spurs

NBA fans and media alike were incredibly excited for the first meeting of the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors this season, and many expected an uber-competitive game to take place on Monday night. Well, the game was enthralling, but not very competitive. Stephen Curry put on a clinic, and was dribbling circles around the Spurs throughout. Here's some evidence. If that floater wasn't epic enough, in the second-half Curry added this drive in which he pulled the magic out on Jonathon Simmons.

Josh Smith Fakes Dirk Nowitzki Out of His Shoes

Josh Smith has returned to the Houston Rockets via trade, and he made the most of his first game back. He scored 16 points off the bench, including this drive on Dirk Nowitzki that made Smith look like Hakeem Olajuwon. Could Ty Lawson and Josh Smith be the spark duo off the bench that rejuvenates this Rockets team?
