Paul Millsap was recently named to his first All-Star Game. He will represent the Atlanta Hawks and the Eastern Conference in the 2014 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans. After a few snubs as a member of the Utah Jazz, it is so great to see Millsap get the recognition he deserves.

Millsap had to fill the void left by Al Horford, who yet again went down with a pectoral tear -- his second in three seasons. The pectoral tear has been a recurring injury for Horford since his days with the Florida Gators. The first season that Horford missed with injury was the 2011-12 season, where he returned for the Hawks' playoff run.

The 28-year old power forward, who is now in his seventh year in the league, is averaging an outstanding 18.1 points per game, 7.5 points per game, 3.4 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game in his last 10 played leading up to the All-Star break.

With Horford missing this season, Millsap is averaging a strong 17.5 points per game. His play this year has raised the eyebrows of several teams and caught the attention of fans all over the league. Millsap has earned his first career All-Star selection, and watch out for him in New Orleans as he could have a shot at being All-Star Game MVP. Crazier things have happened.

Millsap has done stuff you wouldn't ever think of. He is a great teammate and a great representative for the City of Atlanta. With that in mind, here's 10 random facts about Millsap that you might not know.
