Denver Nuggets vs. New York Knicks Friday Game Preview, TV Schedule and Betting Line
Going with the Nuggets to cover the spread (-1.5) in this one, and now can we move on? Because want to touch on the Carmelo Anthony trade situation for a bit; his college head coach had some comments recently that made me think ‘Melo will bolt the Big Apple.
“The problem in the NBA, you’re judged on winning championships. He’s got to try to go and play where they can win a championship or else he’s going to be a failure. That’s the bottom line,” coach Jim Boeheim said Wednesday on ESPN Radio’s ‘Mike and Mike Show’. “I just hope he’s in a good situation. He loves New York. I just hope he gets to a good situation. He deserves it.”
‘Melo definitely deserves to play for a winner, because he can light it up quicker than anyone in the league not named Kevin Durant and also seems to play better on a big stage. In the end though, “Melo needs to own up to some of his defensive deficiencies because those are what have held him back in his career far much more than who his teammates have been. His trade situation is still up in the air, but the one certainty is that ‘Melo will do his best to light up the Nuggets tonight. Keep an eye out for a couple more previews tonight, and also dropped some Rant Sports Prep content earlier as well.
