Los Angeles Lakers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Friday Game Preview, TV Schedule and Betting Line
TV: Time Warner Cable, CSN-Phil, DTV: 691, 754
The Lakers are coming off one of the strangest victories of the season where a fouled out player was actually allowed to finish the game.
“I was not going to go to Nash — it was not an option to us — but the other thing we talked about was having Jordan go out there and just stand in the corner,” head coach Mike D’Antoni said. “When the officials came over to explain the options to me, we decided to keep Robert out there. I knew he would be smart and not commit too many more fouls.”
They ended up getting a victory, and Steve Nash did not end up having to check into the game. In this one, the line is not set yet due to injuries, but would think the Lakers would come away with a win. Something tells me they will not all foul out of this one, but you never know with all the strangeness that has surrounded the team this season.
Magic Johnson’s public comments lately reveal a rift between the leader of the Showtime Lakers and Jim Buss; they certainly disagreed over the head coaching choice, but it appears that Magic is trying to patch things up a bit this month. Couple more previews coming at you tonight and one thing is for sure; these are not the Showtime Lakers anymore.
