The Miami Heat go up against the Utah Jazz on Saturday in a match that will tip off at 9 PM EST; also, here is the TV info.

TV: SunSports, ROOT-Rocky Mountain,, DTV: 653, 684, 761, 762

LeBron James will likely have a field day in this one and definitely picking the Heat to cover the spread (-8.5).

Wanted to just make a broader point about the Heat today; this is not last year’s team.

Yes, James has probably improved his overall game, but Dwyane Wade is obviously not the player he once was and generally just think the other teams in the East have improved too much. Also, the recent addition of Andrew Bynum to Paul George’s squad definitely was a brilliant move by Larry Bird and you can see the “Legend”‘s fingerprints all over this team. If you think for a moment that Lance Stephenson’s improvement in the last two seasons has nothing to do with Bird, then you have absolutely no basketball brain at all.

That is the matchup that is looming in the East, and if the Heat can handle it then they can probably make it back to the Finals. The issue with the three-peat happening though, even after passing Bird’s squad, is that Kevin Durant is playing on a different galaxy right now and it would not surprise me to see him average 40 points throughout the playoffs and carry his squad to his first ring.

If you keep an eye out later on, then will have a couple more previews as well as some Rant Sports Prep content as well.
