The Spurs are favored (-5.5), and would certainly pick them to cover the spread and win as well. Brad Stevens will do his best to keep his team in the game, but the talent disparity is just too high in this one and it could end up being a blowout if Tim Duncan is able to put the team on his back early. The reserves on the Spurs have been excellent this year as well, so look for them to come in during the second quarter and going to work.

The Spurs lost their latest match and the problem was fairly easy to pinpoint for their head coach.

“We lost the game because we probably played the worst defense we’ve played all season, especially in the first half,” Gregg Popovich said after the loss. “We didn’t bring it mentally or physically, and the Pistons did.”

We will have to see if the Spurs can bounce back, but they have been a top five defense in the league this season which could make the difference for them when the basketball starts to slow down a little bit.
