Will Chicago Bulls Be Major Players At NBA Trade Deadline?
The trade deadline in the NBA is coming upon us. Some teams make moves to shed bad contracts and others try to get a particular piece to make a run in the playoffs. The top teams are usually set with the rosters they have assembled and do not want to mess up chemistry. The middle-of-the-road teams are looking to make that last splash to set themselves up moving forward. One such team that has been in trade rumors is the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls are like every other team in the league, always looking to improve and get better among the roster. The front office talks and listens to trade rumors all around the league. The Bulls have been linked to many deals ever since they traded away Luol Deng. They have played well enough to maintain between the no. 3 seed and the no. 6 seed in a depleted Eastern Conference. Fans don’t know what to expect from the Bulls because they could be one player away from really making noise in the playoffs.
Vice President of Operations John Paxson doesn’t expect the Bulls to make any more moves by the trade deadline. He likes what the roster has to offer: great coaching, continuity and chemistry. The fans would like the Bulls to pull something major off, but these things are not as easy as pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
The Bulls have to find something they like and are willing to add. Also, the Bulls have pieces they could trade like a Carlos Boozer, Kirk Hinrich or Mike Dunleavy Jr. The Bulls are not the type of team that usually pulls the trigger and will more than likely wait until the summer to make moves.
