Andre Drummond brought some serious toughness to the Rising Stars challenge and that is why he was named MVP.

“Yeah, you know, we’ve had a tough year so far,” Drummond said after the game. “Tonight, having that time away, just being with my peers that I got drafted with, and being with some of the rookies, just showing them how hard you got to play to be in this game, I just tried to show them tonight.”

It was quite a performance, but unfortunately it is back to MoTown for Drummond after this weekend. His rebounding was the most amazing aspect of what he did to me, and excited to watch this young man’s game blossom in the future because he seems to be quite hardworking.

His squad does not look like a playoff team from what I have seen, but they do have some nice young assets so they could get involved at the trade deadline if they get floated an offer that they can’t refuse. Pau Gasol would be interesting on this team, but that is not a very likely option but just a fun one to think about.

Watching the Godfather tonight after the All Star game, so just trying to get ready folks. One more pro b-ball piece is on the way and then if you are still bored be sure to check out Rant Sports Prep for updates on America’s high school ballers.
