Portland Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard Wins Skills Challenge By One Tenth of a Second
Damian Lillard had quite a full plate to deal with this weekend, but it does not appear that fatigue has overtaken him quite yet. He had to win at least one of the events he entered though, and he was able to do that in the Skills challenge thanks to a last second layup by Trey Burke.
We will have to see if Lillard and teammate LaMarcus Aldridge can help the West to a win tonight, and something tells me they will get it done with superior shooting. Steph Curry is probably angry with his poor performance in the three point contest, and so it would not surprise me to see him sink a few early to try and gain some rhythm and confidence. If he does that, then it will be tough to contain all the talent on the other side of the Rockies. Lord knows that we have not even mentioned Kevin Durant yet, who is currently playing like league MVP.
The East has some nice players too though, and LeBron James happens to be the first to come to mind. His teammate Dwyane Wade will be playing in the game as well, so here is hoping that the shooting guard stays healthy over the rest of the weekend.
Lillard certainly deserved his All Star selection though, and think that he might actually lead the league in buzzer beaters this season. Do not quote me on that; one more pro b-ball piece is coming tonight, and then we will be hanging up the cleats for the day. Thanks as always.
