Ranking Kobe Bryant’s Top 5 All-Star Shoes
Kobe Bryant's Top 5 All-Star Shoes
The NBA All-Star game is tomorrow, yet it will be without one of the greatest players in history, Kobe Bryant. Kobe returned this season after the full rupture of his Achilles tendon. However, that only lasted six games before he fractured his knee. Although it is disappointing that we will not see Bryant in this year's game, we will now be able to see Anthony Davis make his first All-Star appearance as his replacement.
Furthermore, every time All-Star weekend comes around, players like Bryant, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony release special edition shoes for the game. Recently, the shoes have been getting more and more complex as well as overly colorful. It's not only the All-Star game that players have special edition shoes for but also Christmas, Easter and Black History Month.
Bryant has been a long member of the Nike brand, recently releasing his ninth signature shoe. After years of going with the low top, Bryant changed to extreme high tops, subsequent to his Achilles injury. Sadly, we will most likely not see him wearing the shoes on the court until next season. Fortunately, Nick Young has supported Bryant and has rocked his shoes in multiple games this season. Like always, players around the league have displayed their support as well by wearing his shoes.
Even though Bryant has sat out for the majority of this season, the shoes have kept his spirit alive on the court. Today, shoes not only represent just footwear, but they are more of a work of art. Players put their personalities into them and uncover who they really are.

5. Nike Zoom Kobe IV 2009
These were no doubt the simplest of the signature shoes, but they were also one of the cleaner looking shoes. Kobe Bryant wore these shoes the year that he was Co-MVP with Shaquille O'Neal.
4. Nike Zoom Kobe VI 2011
Again one of the more basic All-Star shoes out there, the Zoom Kobe VI. Bryant was MVP once again in this All-Star game dropping 37 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
3. Nike Zoom Kobe VII 2012
Here's where the shoes got pretty complex. This shoe contained what appears to be a galaxy theme to it. When Bryant wore these shoes, he was neck and neck with Durant for the MVP as the two scored 27 and 36 respectively. However, at the end of the game, Durant took the award.
2. Nike Zoom Kobe VII 2013
These shoes were simply amazing. The color and design appealed to everybody, really grabbing their attention. Although Bryant only scored nine points in this game, he did block LeBron James twice in the span of a couple of minutes. The block alone overshadowed the low scoring performance.
1. Nike Zoom Kobe III 2008
Finally, we reach Bryant's nicest All-Star kicks yet, the Zoom Kobe III. This was the last year that he chose to go with high top sneakers until now. The game itself wasn't very exciting for Bryant as he only played two minutes due to injury. However, it was all worth it as he rocked his best All-Star shoes of all time during the game.
