Marco Belinelli Bests Bradley Beal in Shootout Due to Practicing Corner Threes

All Star Saturday night is one of my favorite days of the year, and this season’s edition did not disappoint at all. The dunk contest format was a bit strange, but the three point shootout was a thrilling affair that Marco Belinelli won in an extra round. He and Bradley Beal tied in the final round, and so they had to re-rack the balls and let them go at it again.

Belinelli wisely put all of his money balls on the final rack, and that strategy seemed to pay off for him. In his system, he shoots a lot of corner threes so that probably did not hurt his chances.

Beal’s teammate John Wall won the dunk contest with an absolutely stunning dunk that brought the house down, and caused Dr. J to proclaim that Wall had brought back the contest. Those are bold words from a bold man, and here is hoping that Wall enters the contest again in the future because he brings a certain electricity to the event that has been missing lately. If LeBron James ever entered though, then the contest would rise up to stratospheric levels that we might not even be really ready to handle yet.

That is all for basketball today, but stop by tomorrow if you feel so inclined and in the meantime sit on this fortune cookie wisdom.
