Video: J.R. Smith Pulling Down Vince Carter's Headband is Hilarious

By RantSports Staff

It’s no secret that J.R. Smith is an absolute goofball after he’s untied the shoes of his opponents at the free throw line, but now he’s just grabbing and pulling on any part of his opponents’ uniforms. During the New York Knicks’ 110-108 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night, Smith pulled down the headband of Mavs guard Vince Carter just before an offensive possession by Dallas, during which Carter tried to fix his headband while dribbling.

No whistle was blown and Smith said he didn’t do anything wrong after the game, basically denying that the incident occurred at all. That’s typical for New York’s silly shooting guard, who is becoming known almost exclusively as a prankster or troublemaker, depending on your point of view.

This, coupled with the fact Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was arrested on felony weapon possession, should make the folks in the Big Apple a little nervous heading into the playoff stretch run.
