15 Scary NBA Players You’d Hate to Meet In A Dark Alley
15 Scariest NBA Players To See in a Dark Alley
Players in the NBA are not particularly known for their fighting. They are not really known for any sort of violence in general. Besides the occasional pushing match, we have not witnessed any real fights in quite some time now. Steep fines and penalties for getting involved in a scuffle have been the main reason why these situations never occur anymore. It's simply not worth it to anybody to miss a ton of games or to waste $50,000 only to throw a punch or two at a member of the opposing team.
As a result, NBA players have been wrongfully accused of being soft. Just because they do not get into fights, does not mean that every player in today's league lacks toughness . There are plenty of guys that most people would not mess with if they were to actually see them in person. This is the primary issue with fans today. Fans believe that they can say anything to NBA players on social media sites, however when it comes down to it they would never mess with the majority of players face to face.
So, I have created a list of some of the most terrifying NBA players to see in a dark alley. Of course, this is not to imply that anybody on this list is a bad guy at all. In fact, the majority of them are, in all likelihood, pretty cool guys to hang around. This list is based solely on their actions on the court and has absolutely nothing to do with each of them personally. Also, the size and stature of the player was a heavy contributor.
15. David West - Indiana Pacers
One of the toughest players that plays for the "Old School" Indiana Pacers, David West is made of pure muscle.
14. DeMarcus Cousins - Sacramento Kings
Demarcus "Boogie" Cousins has never been afraid to speak his mind. On the court, he can go from laughing to full out screaming at both his teammates and opponents. He is definitely not the man to mess with.
13. Tyler Hansbrough - Toronto Raptors
His nickname is Psycho T for a reason. Tyler Hansbrough may not have lived up to the high expectations coming out of college, but he is one of the toughest players we have today in the NBA.
12. Kenyon Martin - New York Knicks
Kenyon Martin has been around the league for over a decade now, and he still has not failed to back down from anybody. His reputation not only protects himself, but his teammates as well.
11. Kendrick Perkins - Oklahoma City Thunder
One of the most overpaid players in the league as well as one of the most rugged. Kendrick Perkins has made a living off of sheer grit on the court.
10. Lance Stephenson - Indiana Pacers
Lance Stephenson does anything and everything necessary to win a ball game. He will go through, around and over anybody in his way.
9. Tyson Chandler - New York Knicks
Tyson Chandler was brought to the New York Knicks not to score, but to be a defensive anchor in the paint. Any player that has driven into his area has for sure regretted it.
8. Chris Andersen - Miami Heat
This one may have had a little bit to do with looks, but come on Chris Andersen has to even know himself that he looks like a psycho.
7. Larry Sanders - Milwaukee Bucks
Larry Sanders has already been in a bar fight, so I doubt that he would back down from anybody.
6. Matt Barnes - Los Angeles Clippers
There are not many players that will defend their teammates by all costs. Matt Barnes is that guy and you have to respect him for that.
5. Anthony Davis - New Orleans Pelicans
Imagine seeing the unibrow in a dark alley. Yes, I would not want to either.
4. Joakim Noah - Chicago Bulls
Joakim Noah is another one of those Old School players. He is not the most skilled nor most explosive, but he is an all-star because of his toughness and will to win.
3. Zach Randolph - Memphis Grizzlies
Witnessing Zach Randolph absolutely manhandle Blake Griffin in the playoffs last season automatically reserved a spot for him on this list.
2. Kevin Garnett - Brooklyn Nets
Possibly the most intense player that we have seen in the last decade. Despite not having the skills that he used to, Kevin Garnett still has an impact on every game.
1. Metta World Peace - Free Agent
From the Malice at the Palace to the James Harden elbow, Metta World Peace is the number one scariest player that you would hate to see in a dark alley. Trust me, I have met him in person and he is even more monstrous in person.
