10 NBA Players Who Would Be Great on “Survivor”

10 NBA Players Who'd Be Fantastic on "Survivor"

Clifford Robinson Survivor

Clifford Robinson played 18 seasons in the NBA, most notably for the talented Portland Trail Blazers teams of the early 1990s. Nowadays, though, Robinson is a contestant on the latest installment in the reality television competition “Survivor.” In light of Robinson’s participation in the show the question must be asked: which 10 current NBA players would be the best on “Survivor?”

Andre Miller may not have the physical tools that he once did, but I’d expect he’d play “Survivor” much like he plays the point guard position these days. The veteran would bring his savvy, old-man game to the show and more than likely find a way to succeed.

One of the things that makes Kobe Bryant an all-time great is his will to win and relentless attitude. If you put him in any type of competition, he’d do just about anything it takes to win. I’d suspect that would carry over to “Survivor” if he were cast away to some remote location.

8. Steven Adams

Not only does Steven Adams bring international flair to a “Survivor” competition, but he’s also one of the toughest young guys in the league. Judging by how he’s played over his rookie season with the Thunder, nothing that a reality TV show can throw at him is going to leave him intimidated or backing down.

7. J.R. Smith

Honestly, I just want to see how J.R. Smith would react on “Survivor.” Would he win? Almost certainly not. Would he make hilariously bad decisions or do something that most would call ridiculous? Almost certainly yes, and that is why he’d be great for the show.

6. Rajon Rondo

Rajon Rondo is secretly one of the most competitive guys in the league, which anyone who’s heard stories of his Connect Four games will tell you. “Survivor” isn’t Connect Four, but it’s not hard to imagine Rondo going all in and just trying to annihilate everyone on the show.

Does any mere mortal dare cross Nikola Pekovic on a remote island? If they’re smart, absolutely not.

Chris Kaman and some Lakers teammates/coaches bought a cow to slaughter, store the meat, and live off of. Chris Kaman is an avid hunter and is more than capable at killing his own food. Putting Chris Kaman in the wilderness is basically like sending him on vacation.

Loosely and obviously speaking, the object of “Survivor” is to survive. You could say that you have to grind through the elements of wherever the show is taking place to come out on top. Enter “The Grindfather”, Tony Allen.

2. Joakim Noah

Joakim Noah has flat-out said that he enjoys being the villain and has proven he’s one of the most fierce competitors in the NBA. He’d more than likely be the guy everyone hates on “Survivor,” and it’d be magical.

1. Russell Westbrook

We all know Russell Westbrook plays the game of basketball with a mean-streak and going all-out. Now translate that to him just being a vicious and ferocious human being on an island with a bunch of strangers on “Survivor.” Yeah, it’d be pretty fantastic.
