Bear in mind that the Golden State Warriors would have to trade back into it, but they could target some players in the 2014 NBA Draft. They are right on the edge of championship contention, and the sky is the limit if their decision making improves. Hope you enjoy the next five slides, and also that you have an excellent week.
It has been an up and down year for the Kentucky Wildcats, but Willie Cauley-Stein should still get drafted in the first round. He would bring the Warriors a lot of defensive toughness, but also length. John Calipari will probably miss the 230 pound center, but the NBA beckons when you are seven feet tall.
The power forward out of Louisville has shown potential under Rick Pitino, and should at the very least go in the second round of the draft. Maybe the Warriors could dump a cheap contract to get back into the mix.
The shooting guard on Oklahoma State is having a banner year, but his team could be on the verge of missing out on March Madness. That would hurt Brown's stock, but it might also make him easier to pick up for the Warriors.
Fair has had a first team All ACC season, and now we will have to see if the the Syracuse Orange are capable of a March Madness run. Fair would be a great fit on the Warriors, but he would probably have to come off the bench at first.
The Florida Gators power forward will be missed by Billy Donovan, but I think he may end up declaring for the draft. Hope that I'm wrong, but Walker could be wearing an NBA uniform next season. Let's just hope that it is for the Warriors, because he would be a perfect fit.
