Boston Celtics Weekly Preview March 17-23: Let The Tanking Continue
I did not think the Boston Celtics would lose all four games last week. I figured the team would be able to sneak out a couple victories against the Phoenix Suns or the New York Knicks. They proved me wrong, got the job done and are now hanging on to fourth place in the lottery race with a 22-45 record. The tanking continues this week with some tough competition for the green team.
March 17 at Dallas Mavericks
Dallas put the smack down on the Celtics in their last meeting, beating them 102-91, a score that was a bit deceiving given the way Boston played. The Mavericks have been playing terrific basketball and are trying to climb up the Western Conference standings. They will not let the Rajon-Rondo-less Celtics get in their way. The Celtics will be 0-15 against Western teams on the road.

March 19 vs. Miami Heat
The Celtics played the Heat extremely well in every single match up this season. Boston really tends to show their pride when playing the Heat. Brad Stevens makes sure they are in the best position to win against premier teams. The Celtics will give it their all, but the Heat have too much at stake in this matchup. Miami has struggled the last couple of weeks and can’t let the weaker Celtics get the better of them.

March 21 at Brooklyn Nets
Last time these two teams met, the Celtics may have played their best game of the season. Rondo had himself a monster game and ran the offense smoothly, creating opportunities for a variety of players. The Nets cannot afford to lose this game and jeopardize their standing in the Eastern Conference.
